There are two types of change you can make to a lead:
Change the contact details
You can update the contact details of a registered lead:

Navigate to your Leads page.

Find the lead you want to update, and click on it to open its details page.

Click Edit.

Make changes to the lead's details, as required.
Your supplier decides what information they want you to provide for your contact.
Required fields are indicated by a red asterisk *.

Click Save.
Change the status
You can change the status of a lead, to advise you and your supplier of its current stage in your sales lifecycle.

Navigate to your Leads page.

Find the lead you want to update, and click on it to open its details page.

In the Lead Status timeline, note the current status of the lead. Any achieved statuses are shown in color - future potential stages are displayed in gray.

Click on the required status.
The status of the lead changes. Any previous unattained stages in the deal lifecycle are automatically completed - here, the user set the lead to Contacted status, bypassing Open.
